His travel robe is cast across the ground as the light breaks over him, capturing the moment when the persecutor of the church is confronted by the risen Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus. The scene centers on divine interruption: Saul’s strength is undone, his direction is stopped, and his calling is transformed.
